Howdy folks.

I'm Amitai Gross (they/them). For nearly twenty years, I've worked as a nonprofit executive, operations leader, HR consultant, strategic advisor, logistics manager, fundraiser, marketing and sales director, social scientist, conflict analyst, and mediator. Most recently, I spent eight years as Chief Operating Officer of a national nonprofit I helped build from the ground up.

I've also worked as an educator specializing in conflict analysis and resolution, lecturing and presenting at universities and conferences across the United States. As a consultant, I've supported nonprofit and private companies alike - helping startups get off the ground and established organizations navigate transition, growth, and crisis. With a background in mediation and dialogue facilitation, I help teams and parties in conflict engage in difficult conversations, treating conflict as an opportunity for growth rather than something to avoid.

I hold a BA in Conflict Resolution and Music Composition from Bennington College, and an MA in Coexistence and Conflict Resolution from Brandeis University, where I specialized in the cultural and social-psychological foundations of inter-ideological conflict.

Outside of work, I'm a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, poet, and occasional polemicist. I organize and lead reading groups on topics across the social sciences, play in two different Dungeons & Dragons campaigns, and work part-time at my favorite wine shop, where I evangelize for Roero Arneis, Cinsault, and just about any Austrian rosé.
